This outdoor bar, located in downtown Austin’s Rainey Street neighborhood, features discarded shipping containers carefully stacked and arranged around an open courtyard space. The industrial aesthetic is bolstered by concrete block, rusty plate steel, chain link, and concrete. The interiors of the containers, with their punched windows, bold colors, and unfussy finishes, offer thrillingly intimate moments of escape to contrast with the bustle of the central courtyard.
